Political interests in foreign business can hardly be ignored today. International politics have quickly gained considerable influence on international economic relations of German companies. Closed national borders hinder the exchange of goods, political impulses in legislation produce new standards and norms, and a war in Europe poses severe problems in terms of security, food shortages, energy supply and more. Moreover, the investment climate for foreign investors in Germany is changing under current political conditions.
Time to act for SMEs with foreign cooperation. Political risk management, like the analysis of financial risks, needs to be part of every foreign business today. But how do you integrate political analyses into your own processes? What added value does it bring to think about politics in foreign business at an early stage and what opportunities arise from this?
